Near Des Moines heading to NYC. The guys all flew home after the Lyons gig. So I’m on this drive solo. The Lyons gig by the way was killer. Hands down the best festival I’ve ever been a part of. The lineup was great. The venue was beautiful. The crowd was attentive as hell. I’m hoping we can do that again next year. I spent the week with the family in the mountains which was exactly what I needed. Today has been a bit weird as it’s the one year anniversary of my accident. I don’t know that this time last year anyone would have believed we would be back to where we are right now, but here we are. I can’t say enough how lucky I am to have been surrounded by such wonderful family and friends. My bandmates, managers, agents all have helped above and beyond the call of duty. So many of you guys wrote emails or letters. Sent flowers, gifts and cards. Came to the hospital. I can’t tell you how much it has meant to me and my family. I can only say thank you. On a brighter more celebratory note I’m SOOOO excited to say that ‘The Wreckage’ will be available on vinyl at live shows starting Wednesday in Louisville. With the vinyl you will also get a download card so you can access a digital copy as well. This has truly made the album seem finished. Now we can actually get it out there and share it. I’m thrilled about that. There will be a lot more in the coming weeks but for now I’m hitting the sack and gonna try to be in New York by Saturday night. Think there’ll be anything going on there this weekend?
